The “Ornaments of the Carpathians” collection was created with respect and love for our mountainous region. There are 4 ethnographic groups living in Transcarpathia - Lemkos, Boykos, Hutsuls and Dolynyans. They all have their own special traditions, rituals and symbols. We took traditional patterns as a basis and adapted them to the circles, thus obtaining a special amulet. This pattern is taken from the village of Velykyi Bereznyi, Uzhhorod district. We adapted it to a diamond shape to apply to the pendant itself. Thus, all the figures intertwined in the “dance of life”. We can see patterns that look like rams’ horns - this is how boys were marked. Crosses with ticks are girls. They are all dancing around a large bonfire, which in the mountainous area is called a “vatra”. Such a fire serves as a symbol of purification, it is usually lit at dusk, so it cuts through the darkness with its powerful tongues of flame. The diamond-shaped particles with dots located in the corners of the composition are a sown field. Since we are not sowing at the moment, we can say in modern terms that all our good deeds will return to us a hundredfold. The Lemko bonfire is a powerful amulet and companion, a symbol of the passion and life of a free and independent people.

“Lemkos bonfire” Pendant amulet for the neck from the collection “Ornaments of the Carpathians”

The Lay Bottle workshop makes all its products from recycled glass bottles. We collect all the bottles from bars, restaurants and residents of Transcarpathia, thus saving the region a little from pollution and doing small good deeds together with you!

Bottle glass jewelry is our special development, because they arose with the idea of ​​telling more about Transcarpathia and at the same time making a stylish thing. which can be worn every day and perfectly styled with any look.

We make pendants using the fusing technique (baking) from the upper part of the bottle. After “sabrage”, we are left with a circle, which we bake in special muffle kilns at a temperature of ~760 degrees. After cooling, artis Veronika Witerec paints the pendants by hand with stained glass paints, giving them a special meaning and turning them into amulets from the Carpathians.

Shipping is daily from the city of Khust until 16:00. If you need urgent delivery - be sure to tell us about it and we will try to send your order as soon as possible! Custom manufacturing takes 5-7 working days, depending on the order quantity and workshop workload.

Please note that our products are fragile and, unfortunately, there are cases when postal services break the contents of the parcels. In this case, you do not need to refuse at the branch - feel free to check at home. If your order arrived broken - take a picture of the parcel, send us a photo and we will refund you or make a replacement at our expense. We promise to pack it securely and beautifully. We do not use bubble wrap and foam, instead we fill the boxes with fragrant hay from the Carpathian mountains, manually sign each box and decorate it with an armful of mountain flowers.

 

If for some reason the goods did not suit you, we can make a replacement (at the expense of the recipient) or refund the money. To do this, contact us no later than 14 days after receipt.

 

We do not accept returns if:

There are signs of use or the presentation has been lost

The goods are made to order by the buyer (the goods have initials, dates and images proposed by the buyer; the goods are made according to the buyer's individual measurements, etc.)

The goods are of inadequate quality.
